What has happened to Godolphin? Are they saving themselves for the post-Derby part of the season? Frankie Dettori will be slightly disappointed to be riding Kite Wood, whose re-entry this season was somewhat flat in the Dante at York. Another one out of Galileo (who seems to be the only dead cert in the Derby this year), that promise as a two-year-old didn't seem to resurface. However, it's strange that Godolphin have an apparently weak entry - he'll be ridden hard and given the ride. We just don't really know what he's capable of. Remember, though - no horse defeated in the Dante has ever won the Derby. Ever. That's an ugly stat to overcome.
